Status: Full-time. Monday to Friday
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Wash Plant Operator is responsible for operations of the wash plant function and monitoring plant performance. Employees are expected to operate all equipment in a safe manner. As a result, basic mechanical skills are required for maintenance of equipment.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key duties of the Wash Plant & Equipment Operator include but are not limited to: Operation and knowledge of wash plant startup/shutdown procedures. Assist maintenance department in maintaining the wash plant and mobile equipment. General labour, as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic mechanical knowledge or keen interest to learn
- Understand and comply with site health and safety and environmental regulations
- Able and willing to work independently and as part of a small team
- Willingness to be trained to assume other responsibilities as needed
- Capable of climbing stairs and access ladders several times per day
- In good general health
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Effective communicator (verbal and written), able to offer technical expertise and guidance, and have the ability and willingness to build rapport with team members.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities appropriately.
Willingness to undertake further training or education, if requested.
